CONVENIENCE FEE: Bernalillo County has partnered with a third party service, Point & Pay, LLC, to provide you with convenient online payment services via Credit Card, Debit Card Or Electronic Check Payments. In order to use this service you may have to pay a non-refundable convenience fee in addition to the amount(s) owed to your payee. Please note that the service provider, Point & Pay, LLC, not Bernalillo County will appear as the merchant of record next to your payment on your bank or credit card statement.

COMPLETION OF TRANSACTION: Completion of this transaction is contingent upon the authorization of the transaction by your credit card company or financial institution. In the event your payment is not authorized or processed by your credit card company or financial institution, the payment liability shall remain outstanding and unpaid. Outstanding and unpaid balances will be subject to all applicable penalties, interest, and fees accessed by Bernalillo County, all of which remain your sole responsibility. If paying with an electronic check please ensure the routing and account numbers entered are correct to avoid a $25 return payment fee.

DUE DATES: Property tax payments are due in two equal installments. The first half is due November 10th and becomes delinquent after December 10th. The second half is due April 10th and becomes delinquent after May 10th. Penalty and interest charges are added to delinquent balances on the 10th of every month.

ACCESSIBILITY: This service is accessible through the internet. In order to use this service you will need a personal computer or mobile device to access the internet with an internet service provider and a web browser which supports this service.

ACCURACY OF YOUR INFORMATION AND BILLING; COMPLETION OF PAYMENT: You are solely responsible for providing accurate and complete information to use this service and for confirming any amount(s) owed to your payee. Completion of your online payment is contingent upon both (1) The authorization of payment by your credit card company (or financial institution with respect to debit cards and electronic check payments) and (2) Acceptance of your payment [and if applicable your tax return] filing by your payee. If the service provider is unable to process your payment, the service provider will attempt to notify you at least once using the contact information you have provided. If your payment is not processed or authorized by your credit card company or financial institution (as applicable) or your payment is not accepted by your payee: your payment liability shall remain outstanding and unpaid; and you will be responsible for any penalties, late fees, and interest charges assessed by your payee.

ORDER OF PAYMENT CREDITS: Payments are credited to delinquent taxes and assessments (the oldest delinquent amounts first) before they are credited to current taxes and assessments. Payments are applied first to penalty, interest, and fees and then to the tax amount.

Execution and delivery of payments to your agency per your instructions. We use your personal information to take and handle payments, deliver payments, process payments, and communicate with you about payments.

Provide, troubleshoot, and improve Point & Pay Services. We use your personal information to provide functionality, analyze performance, fix errors, and improve the usability and effectiveness of the Point & Pay Services.

Comply with legal obligations. In certain cases, we collect and use your personal information to comply with laws. For instance, response to government or law enforcement related inquiries.

Communicate with you. We use your personal information to communicate with you in relation to Point & Pay Services via different channels (e.g., by phone, email, chat).

Fraud Prevention and Credit Risks. We use personal information to prevent and detect fraud and abuse in order to protect the security of our customers, Point & Pay, and others.

Children under 13. Point & Pay complies with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC’s Rule interpreting COPPA (16 CFR § 312). The Web Sites are not directed to children of any age and Point & Pay does not knowingly collect in any manner any Personal Information from children under 13 years of age.
