Minimum of $20.00 payment.
If your account meets either of the following criteria it will be submitted to the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) on December 1, 2026.
• You have not made voluntary payments totaling at least $240 in the last twelve months 12/1/25 – 11/15/26. (Tax Intercept payments do not count toward the required $240.)
• You owe victim restitution. (If you have made the required payments of $240 but owe victim restitution your account will be sent to FTB)
Once your account has been submitted to the FTB, your State Tax Return will be flagged and any refund due will be sent to the Probation Department to be applied towards your outstanding balance.
If you have questions or do not believe you owe this debt, contact us at 209-525-4558 prior to November 1, 2026. A representative in the Accounting Department will review your questions/objections.
FTB operates an intercept program in conjunction with the State Controller’s Office, collecting delinquent liabilities individuals owe to state, local agencies, and colleges. FTB intercepts State tax refunds, unclaimed property claims, and lottery winnings owed to individuals. FTB redirects these funds to pay the individual’s debts to the agencies/colleges (California Government Code Sections 12419.2, 12419.7, 12419.9, 12419.10, 12419.11, and 12419.12).
